What do I need to see live aircraft?
An ADS-B receiver on your home network that exposes dump1090-compatible data — most Raspberry Pi feeder builds work out of the box. No receiver yet? Demo Mode shows you the full app with sample traffic.
The map is empty
- Confirm your receiver is on the same network as your device.
- Check the receiver address in Settings (IP and port).
- Open the receiver's own web map in a browser — if it's empty there too, the issue is the receiver or antenna, not the app.
How far should I be able to see?
With a decent antenna placed high, 100–250 nautical miles is typical. Terrain and antenna placement matter far more than the app.
Why do some aircraft never appear?
Only aircraft broadcasting ADS-B on 1090 MHz appear. Some military and older general-aviation aircraft don't broadcast, or broadcast without position.
Does my data go anywhere?
No. Aircraft data stays on your network. See our Privacy Policy — the App Store label is "Data Not Collected."
